"The fruits of her labor" | The Signal, Santa Clarita Valley

Xochitl Hernandez was invited to speak at Sulphur Spring Elementary School for Dr. Seuss Read Across America Day. As an opera singer and journalist who got her start in elementary on a children’s television network, she’s excited to give back to her community.

“She gave me more courage to try harder, because she went through lots of things when she started out. That’s something that you can learn and use in the future,” fifth grader Bailey Welch said.
